Overview

 

Temple University Hospital - Episcopal Campus seeks a Clinical Research Nurse Pool Specialist to assist in delivering high-quality medical care to an adult patient population. This role will be responsible for day-to-day activities surrounding clinical research studies and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university regulations.

 

Salary

 

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $83,000 and $114,000, based on years of licensure and experience. Salary may vary depending on qualifications and education level.

 

Job Description

 

This position is part of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine's Department of Neurology and requires providing and/or coordinating timely direct and indirect patient care services in a multidisciplinary setting. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Obtaining patient history and vital signs
  • Administering injections, blood draws, IVs, and medications
  • Maintaining records of vital statistics and other pertinent patient data in the EMR system
  • Providing individual assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help identify and overcome barriers that may hinder quality medical patient care
  • Educating and counseling patients and families
  • Keeping assigned patient logs up to date, including infusions
  • Coordinating with the Clinical Research Nurse to facilitate the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of patients for clinical trials

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

Professional licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of PA is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and experience working with patients with neurological or related disorders.
