Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic GYN ultrasounds on patients, ensuring accurate and detailed examinations.
  • Provide professional, friendly, and compassionate patient care throughout the ultrasound process.
  • Review patient charts thoroughly to gather all necessary information for a comprehensive procedure.
  • Report diagnostic findings clearly and concisely, including normal anatomy and any recognized abnormalities.
  • Assist physicians with invasive studies as required, demonstrating proficiency in assisting techniques.
  • Communicate essential patient information to medical assistants, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and adhere to strict safety protocols.
  • Uphold AIUM standards and best practices throughout all procedures.
  • Collect and submit exams to AIUM when applying for reaccreditation, demonstrating commitment to quality assurance.
  • Stay current with medical advancements by completing continuing medical education (CME) requirements.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe and sterile work environment.
  • Clean and sterilize ultrasound probes meticulously, adhering to established protocols.
  • Operate the Trophon Sterilization device proficiently and report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized ultrasound room, ensuring optimal patient comfort and workflow.
  • Stock the ultrasound room with necessary supplies, contributing to efficient operations.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with AIUM standards and practices is essential.
  • Proven ability to perform GYN sonograms independently with accuracy and expertise.
  • Comfort assisting physicians with sonohysterography procedures, demonstrating technical proficiency.
  • Competence in OB/GYN 3D acquisition and GYN Doppler techniques.
Experience:

Two years of experience in GYN ultrasound is preferred.

License/Certification:

ARDMS certification is highly desirable.
