Catheterization Laboratory Technologist Role at Norman Regional Health System

The Catheterization Laboratory Technologist plays a pivotal role in supporting innovative cardiovascular programs within our community hospital setting. Key responsibilities include preparing equipment, providing patient care, and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures. To excel in this position, you will need licensure and certification in Radiologic Technology, as well as strong collaborative skills with the healthcare team to facilitate exceptional patient care.

We are currently seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team.

Estimated Salary Range: $27.84 - $45.46 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
  • Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
  • Maintain a sterile environment.
  • Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
  • Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
  • Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
  • One year of experience working in a Catheterization Laboratory preferred.
  • Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
  • Basic Life Support certification required; Advanced Life Support training must be achieved within six months of hire.
