Job Overview

Xylem is seeking a highly skilled Pumping System Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing of Godwin fleet equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain Godwin fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems, and pump problems
  • Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends
  • Assist customers and Xylem personnel with setting up pumping systems on job sites as needed
  • Perform initial inspections of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager
  • Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of diesel experience and/or training or combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical card
  • Commercial Driver License B - Preferred
  • Diagnosing basic mechanical problems
  • Thorough understanding of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance
  • BASIC mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers both verbally and in writing

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
