We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Cardiovascular Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine.
Responsibilities:- Assess the health status of patients and families through comprehensive health history and physical examination.
- Initiate and order selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations, and laboratory examinations, and prescribe medication regimens.
- Educate and counsel patients and families on health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Document findings and plan of care in the patient's medical record.
- Consult with physicians according to established standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Current New York State license as a registered nurse.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national association via examination.
- Collaborative Practice Agreement with a physician and designated protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
