Operating Room Shift Nurse Director

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Operating Room Shift Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative surgical department, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and direct daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit, supervising staff and facilitating communication with physicians and internal administrators.
- Routinely use acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations, demonstrating expertise as a charge agent and leader within your area of specialty.
- Coordinate unit staffing to meet departmental needs, mentoring other Registered Nurses to the role and function of Charge Nurse.
- Complete employee conferences, risk management reports, and unit management reports within specified time frames.
- IDentify, recognize, and respond to the needs of unit staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to meet patient and family needs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of two years of experience as an RN with a focus on nursing management.
- A valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Certification is preferred, with BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
