Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Med/Surg Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a key member of our patient care team, you will work collaboratively with our staff nurses and charge nurses to deliver exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic personal care to patients, prioritizing their safety and well-being
  • Work closely with other members of the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in patient-centered care, focusing on patient satisfaction and outcomes
  • Collaborate with staff nurses and charge nurses to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Unencumbered LNA license with the State of Vermont
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong customer service skills
  • High level of familiarity with hospital safety practices and procedures
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competence in clinical area of responsibility
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support
Benefits

This position is eligible for select benefits, including but not limited to Life and Disability Insurance, 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans.

This position is 36 hours a week with 12 hour night/evening shifts.

An employment bonus of up to $7,500 (subject to applicable taxes) is available for this position. The bonus is paid in three installments: 1st after 90 days, 2nd after one year, and 3rd after two years. Bonus recipients must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for two years with Porter Medical Center.
