Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Koppers Holdings. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our plant mechanical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Pump Installation and Repair: Install and repair various types of pumps, including diaphragm, centrifugal, and positive displacement pumps.
  • Mechanical System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Tool and Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and written instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals and reduce identified issues.
  • Efficiency and Safety: Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to Koppers policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school or specialized training preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of mechanical experience or a combination of education and experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Reliability: Must have reliable transportation and a reliable method of contact.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours, including call-ins, overtime, and on-call shifts.
