Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range based on industry standards and market research.

Job DescriptionOur Hospital Veterinarians:

Lead by Example: Our veterinarians live and breathe quality – in the pets they treat and the people they work with.

Collaborative Environment: They are supported by quality equipment, medical field leaders, and a paraprofessional team who are encouraged to expand their skill sets as subject matter experts in dentistry, nutrition, and more.

Critical Role: Our hospital veterinarians are responsible for performing duties in a way that creates an environment where the patient's needs always come first, every team member understands their role in creating an exceptional customer and patient experience, and contentious issues are dealt with and resolved as soon as possible.

  • Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care.
  • Utilize a problem-based approach to develop treatment plans and communicate effectively with clients and referral hospitals.
  • Document all patient observations, findings, treatments, and diagnoses in the medical record.
Nature of Supervision:

Our veterinarians take direct supervision from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director and are expected to behave in a professional and personable manner.

They will work together in a collegial fashion to ensure a cohesive, well-trained, and motivated team.

Impact:

This position contributes to the growth of a productive practice while focusing on a high-quality standard of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state in which the hospital is located.
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License (if applicable).
  • USDA Category I Accreditation (minimum) or completion within two months of hire date.
