At Talnt, we are seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to lead our tax compliance and reporting functions. With a strong understanding of tax laws, corporate accounting standards, and analytical abilities, you will play a critical role in ensuring full regulatory compliance, optimizing tax strategies, and providing key financial insights to support informed decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulatory standards, including SOX requirements.
  • Oversee the tax provision process, including account analysis, reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting teams to align tax activities with corporate accounting objectives, enhancing financial reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare and organize audit documentation, providing thorough responses to audit inquiries as needed.
  • Assess tax implications of business transactions and offer strategic recommendations to management.
  • Stay current with changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on organizational operations.
  • Utilize accounting software, including Sage, for efficient record-keeping and to manage all tax-related transactions.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on tax-related processes and updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • CPA certification (or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax management or a similar role within a corporate accounting environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; prior experience with Sage software is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and associated reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, particularly in account analysis and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
