Job Summary: Radiology Technologist

The Staff Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in our imaging department, responsible for taking radiographs that meet the highest standards set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless patient care, utilizing your expertise in positioning, radiation protection, and specialized techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all diagnostic radiographic procedures, including ER, surgical, fluoroscopic, and portable radiographs.
  • Select and operate radiography equipment, imaging accessories, and associated devices to successfully complete procedures.
  • Practice safe radiation protection, adhering to hospital guidelines to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Corroborate patient clinical history with procedure documentation, ensuring accurate information is available for licensed practitioners.
  • Maintain equipment, perform minor repairs, and communicate issues to supervisors or communication logs.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an America Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education basis.
  • Certified or Temporary Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT (R) Certified with Radiology or eligible, with a requirement to obtain ARRT (R) certification within 12 months post-hire.
