Job Title: Travel Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Morristown, NJ.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform high-quality mammography procedures, adhering to established protocols and guidelines. This is a 13-week contract position, requiring a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammography procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient.
  • Prepare patients for mammography procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.
Requirements:
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech (Certified Mammography Tech).
