Job Title: Die Cast Step Up Operator

At Meridian Lightweight Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Die Cast Step Up Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Die Cast Step Up Operator will be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining a die cast cell to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop employees to perform in the role of Die Cast Operator.
  • Work with Die Cast Operators to develop the skills to safely and efficiently set up, run, and maintain a die cast cell.
  • Complete required operator training.
  • Expand Die Cast skill to include multiple machines.
  • Backfill Die Cast Operator positions as available.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months' experience operating equipment; one year preferred.
  • Possess mechanical ability and be knowledgeable in the use of hand tools.

Work Environment:

The Die Cast Step Up Operator will work in an automotive manufacturing environment, with shift work and exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid conditions.

Personal Competencies:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, twist, bend, grasp, and lift – occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Visual requirements include ability to visually inspect work performed.
  • Talk and hear.
