About the Position

Serves as a Program Finance Specialist within the Operations Support Branch, providing financial analysis and program support to higher graded employees. Key responsibilities include preparing and monitoring budget, financial, and programmatic information from various funding sources.

Responsibilities
  • Provides data on funds use and availability for different appropriations, such as Regulatory, Operations and Maintenance, and Revolving Fund.
  • Analyzes project funds and status using financial management systems.
  • Develops and updates reports on multiple projects and funding sources.
  • Monitors annual operating budget execution.
Requirements

To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following employment authority categories:

  • Applicants who have held a GS-07 position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Education: A bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or one full year of graduate-level education in a field related to finance, such as Business Administration or Accounting.

Specialized Experience: One year of experience providing financial assistance or support within an organization, including experience with financial management systems.
