Role: Director of FP&A

The Director of FP&A will report directly to the VP of Finance and be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning and analytical support across the entire business.

The ideal candidate will be highly inquisitive and enthusiastic about uncovering insights into our business, as well as supporting and learning about other aspects of the finance function.

They should be extremely comfortable running and maintaining analysis/reporting in Excel and/or Google Sheets on an ongoing basis, with the possibility of scaling this into more robust reporting systems over time.

Responsibilities
  1. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations, providing insights into non-GAAP financial and operational performance (e.g., SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, etc.).
  2. Conduct in-depth analyses and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  3. Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with the executive team to align business objectives with financial targets. Monitor actual performance against budgets, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
  4. Develop financial models for scenario planning related to investment and resource allocation options, providing recommendations based on the analysis.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial rigor and analytical leadership to ensure thoughtful decision making.
  6. Implement procedures and tools to streamline reporting and analysis, ensuring the scalability of financial operations as the company grows.
  7. Lead efforts to build a data-driven culture by providing real-time insights and actionable intelligence across the business, leveraging financial, operational, and market data.
Requirements
  1. 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 2 years at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
  2. 2+ years of investment banking or management consulting experience is strongly preferred.
  3. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, etc.
  4. Proven track record of developing and implementing robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and scenario planning.
  5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
  6. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States.
