Vehicle Repair Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Master Mechanic to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our repair team, you will diagnose and repair vehicles to ensure high-quality standards are met for customer safety and satisfaction.

About the Role

In this fast-paced environment, you will work collaboratively with a skilled team to solve technical problems and enhance your mechanical expertise. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues with various vehicle systems, including engines, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning.

You will also be responsible for repairing and reconditioning cars to meet CarMax's high standards. This includes working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, using your skills and knowledge to diagnose and fix complex problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to ensure high-quality standards are met
  • Work as part of a team to solve technical problems quickly and effectively
  • Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
  • Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $24.30 to $42.60 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to your hourly rate, you may be eligible for incentives and bonuses, subject to state law.
