We are seeking an experienced Dentist, General - Community Health Specialist to join our team at Hawai'i Island Community Health Center. As a key member of our dental department, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients in scheduled and unscheduled settings.

• Diagnose and treat dental and oral diseases using various diagnostic equipment.
• Develop treatment plans for patients, explaining options and risks associated with each procedure.
• Provide education on preventive dentistry and instruct dental assistants on procedures such as chair-side work and radiology.
• Administer anesthesia to minimize patient discomfort during procedures.
• Design, make, and fit prosthodontic appliances, including crowns, bridges, and dentures.
• Pursue public service initiatives to promote oral health awareness in the community.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A valid current license to practice dentistry in Hawaii.
• Experience working with community programs, preferably in pediatric or adolescent dentistry.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with culturally diverse patients and staff.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive patient data.
• The ability to work well under pressure and manage stress effectively.
