Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at ADAPT Community Network. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating students with developmental and intellectual disabilities to facilitate rehabilitation and independence in daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate children referred to the program to establish learning and performance capabilities and develop a treatment plan to attain established goals.
  • Develop a treatment plan and goal based on assessment, selecting educational, recreational, and social activities to aid students in adjusting to their disability.
  • Participate in in-service education for other patient care personnel relevant to techniques and objectives of the program.
  • Integrate therapeutic intervention techniques into programs or homes of persons served through consultation with parent/guardian and staff at team meetings, case conferences, or through other informal contacts.
  • Document therapy activities and results on students records, assisting in overall evaluation and rehabilitation of their medical/psychiatric condition.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • 1 Year of prior Occupational Therapist experience preferred.
  • Current NYS license in Occupational Therapy.
