Nurse Coordinator for Intermediate Care Unit

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to serve as a Unit Coordinator for our Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit (IMCU/SDU).
As a Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our patients. You will work closely with the department manager to lead safety and quality initiatives, simplify workflow, and contribute to the development of staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Develop and implement safety and quality initiatives
- Collaborate with department manager to simplify workflow and improve efficiency
- Contribute to the development of staff through training and education
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Sentara policies
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
- BSN or MSN degree required
- At least 18 months of RN experience
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
