What You'll Accomplish:

This position is based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Burlington, MA. The Procurement Supply Chain Optimization Specialist will support managing Wellness Pet's procurement spend, manage KPI reporting, evaluate new vendors while ensuring cost optimization across all formats for our internal manufacturing sites and our co-manufacturers:

  • Conduct market research related to commodities, track indexes, pricing trends and conduct cost analyses to ensure a competitive raw materials portfolio.
  • Analyze upstream feedstocks/commodities; create cost models to understand impact on pricing of raw materials.
  • KPI reporting: Align monthly financial reports to Procurement spend related to Wellness Pet internal sites and co manufacturers. Develop/publish key PPV/IPV & performance indicator reporting (KPI).
  • Assist the Procurement Director/Manager with the Vendor management process. Work with internal sites to resolve CSR issues related to vendors/materials.
  • Assist with reconciling invoicing variances related to raw materials and Packaging.
  • Help with governance of Wellness Pet volume commitments on a monthly basis. Assist with tracking/adjusting volume allocations volume commitments across all raw material vendors.
  • Identify and qualify new supply sources to reduce cost, simplify our supply chain and improve the overall quality of our vendor base. Coordinate vendor qualification/management processes with our Quality, Manufacturing and R&D teams.
  • Support the annual budget setting process.
  • Assist with supplier negotiations and coordinating contract execution.
  • Support procurement driven value optimization initiatives for cost/manufacturing efficiencies.
Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $115,000 per year
