Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at the Mount Sinai Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough nursing assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments
- Develop and implement educational programs to promote patient safety and quality care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior nurses to enhance their clinical skills and confidence

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in an intensive care unit
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State
- BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- CAPA certification preferred

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $78.70 per hour, which reflects the competitive compensation package offered by the Mount Sinai Health System.
