Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at Avelo Airlines. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a thorough understanding of the maintenance program and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled workloads.
- Assume ownership of the aircraft while on duty and maintain open communication with Team Leads, Maintenance Control, and Pilots.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Structural Repair Manual conditional use and damage assessment.
- Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and promote a 'Safety Always' culture.
- Understand compliance of FAA Regulatory requirements as it pertains to planning tasks against aircraft daily.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and knowledge of aircraft systems and troubleshooting and MEL/CDL procedures.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 feet and work outside in inclement weather.
- Must be able to work shift work, weekends, and holidays and possible travel for training, deployment, and/or issue resolution up to 25% away from base.
- Must provide own hand tools to meet minimum company tool list and possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to clearly lead, mentor, and instruct other Crew Members and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Current and Valid Driver's License required and must have the authority to work in the U.S as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986.
- Must be able to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- 3 years of experience on different types of aircraft with 10 or more seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station.
- Boeing Systems Fam courses preferred and 737 Line maintenance preferred.
Avelo Airlines offers a competitive salary of $32-$40 per hour based on experience.
