Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Tempe, AZ. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role and a focus on high-volume accounts payable processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Process Management: Manage the entire accounts payable process from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Invoice Processing: Process a large volume of invoices efficiently and accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with vendors, respond to inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Vendor Statement Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • ERP System Management: Accurately enter and code invoices into the ERP system, ensuring proper classification and coding.
  • Payment Execution: Execute timely and accurate payment runs, utilizing various payment methods such as checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Closing Activities: Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to support management decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on high-volume accounts payable processing.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in working with large ERP systems; experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and resolve complex accounts payable issues.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The salary for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
