About the Job

This role involves working closely with software engineers, field teams, and leadership to design practical solutions for light industrial customers. As a product designer, you'll be responsible for reimagining the antiquated staffing industry, focusing on operational problems with a mix of hardware, software, and service design.

  • **Job Description Summary:** Design and implement innovative solutions for the staffing industry, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve user experience.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced product designer to help us scale manual operations efforts using our Ops Console (internal-facing software). This role reports to our Head of Product, who has over 20 years of experience in designing successful products at top tech brands.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Architecting and stewarding our design system and brand identity;
  • Solving operational problems with a mix of hardware, software, and service design;
  • Pushing pixels in Figma to scale manual ops; and
  • Evolutionizing the business and worker experience in our native and web apps.

You'll work closely with everyone around the company, as well as our users, to form and solve a wide variety of ideas and problems. This includes:

  • Deeply understanding, framing, and visualizing the needs of our businesses and workers;
  • Visualizing abstractions to facilitate input and action;
  • Bootstrapping user research to quickly validate concepts and usability;
  • Socializing your work freely and soliciting feedback from colleagues;
  • Shipping features and user experiences that move the needle; and
  • Evolving the business and worker experience in our native and web apps.
About You

We're looking for someone with a strong background in software design, ideally with coding skills. Your experience should include:

  • At least 5-15 years of in-house software design experience;
  • A track record of solving complex UX and UI problems;
  • Mastery of software design tools like Figma;
  • Built or significantly contributed to multiple design systems;
  • A deep understanding of how software is built;
  • Experience validating designs with informal usability testing;
  • Evidence of shipping features and user experiences that have moved the needle;
  • A desire to work at a startup and cover a large surface;
  • A strong and ambitious work ethic;
  • Eternally optimistic and pleasant to work with.
What We Offer

We're proud to offer a competitive salary range of $150,000-$200,000, reflecting our market analysis and other relevant considerations. However, exceptions may be made for candidates with qualifications that significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.
