We are seeking a skilled RN House Supervisor to join our team at Coachella Valley Behavioral Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of patient care on our 80-bed hospital units.
Responsibilities:
Anticipate and effectively manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources as needed.
Model exceptional customer service and prioritize patient safety.
Enforce and interpret policies for patient care delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure proper staffing for each unit, maintaining optimal staff ratios and covering call-offs and vacation time.
Conduct regular audits and rounds to ensure accurate chart checks, seclusion/restraint logs, and nursing assessments.
Collaborate with the DON to ensure staff orientation and competency, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
Assist in developing and updating patient care plans, ensuring measurable goals and interventions.
Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care, adjusting staffing as needed.
Requirements:
BSN from an accredited school of nursing (preferred).
Current license in the state where the facility is located.
At least 1 year of med/surg nursing experience and/or 1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs (preferred).
Certifications:
Current certification or license within the state where the facility is located.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
First aid certification may be required based on state or facility regulations.
