TCG, Inc., an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government, is seeking a skilled Legal Analyst with expertise in federal privacy regulations. As a rare B Corp government contractor, we strive to balance profitability with responsible practices and employee well-being.

This role requires US Citizenship and involves a government background investigation. The selected candidate must reside within commuting distance of Washington, D.C., and be prepared for occasional in-person meetings.

The successful applicant will collaborate with the Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP) to modernize business processes, identify areas for privacy risk reduction, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Work alongside the SAOP to develop and refine business processes ensuring compliance with federal privacy laws.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze workflows and business processes to pinpoint areas requiring improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Documentation Oversight: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation required by federal laws and regulations.
  • Training Development: Contribute to agency-wide and role-based privacy training initiatives to enhance awareness and compliance.
  • Records Management: Develop and maintain a system for recording notices in accordance with federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • OMB SAOP Support: Provide assistance with tasks related to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) SAOP, including cross-cutting compliance with information disclosure laws.
  • Data Management: Collect and maintain compliance-related data or records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Gap Identification: Identify gaps in documentation or potential non-compliance areas, proposing resolutions and updating systems accordingly.
  • Response Management: Respond to standard requests for documentation or records according to established guidelines, referring complex inquiries to management.
  • Repository Maintenance: Manage a repository of forms, handbooks, policies, or other documents necessary for regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, and operational teams to integrate privacy considerations into relevant processes and policies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal or Contract Analyst, preferably with a focus on privacy and compliance.
  • A strong understanding of federal privacy laws and regulations, including the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
  • Experience analyzing business processes and identifying legal compliance issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration and training delivery.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and a 'helping others helps us all' personality.
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Familiarity with privacy risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
  • Knowledge of records management practices and the development of a system of records notices.
  • Understanding of cross-cutting compliance issues and their implications for legal and operational processes.
  • Previous experience working with government agencies or regulatory bodies is a plus.

Estimated Salary Range: $73,500 - $110,000
