Job Title: Senior Laboratory Chemist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Chemist to join our team at The Staffing Resource Group Inc. As a Senior Laboratory Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation, preparing standard and sample solutions, and operating general analytical instruments for all routine testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Prepare standard and sample solutions as required by the test methods.
  • Operate general analytical instruments for all routine testing.
  • Perform wet chemistry tests on raw material.
  • Perform analysis on intermediate and finished product.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation as required by SOPs.
  • Comply with good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Participate in troubleshooting of analytical test methods and laboratory instruments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in chemistry or related science from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 8 years of related laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Expertise of GLP, cGMP, FDA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of instrumentation and the following instruments: UV/IR, HPLC and GC.
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry.
  • Experience using computer applications and programs related to laboratory applications.

Working Conditions:

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds, vision to monitor, moderate to loud noise levels. Incumbents may be exposed to or work with toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment.
