At Prisma Health, we're transforming healthcare for the benefit of our communities. As an Imaging Technologist in our Ambulatory Care department, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and helping us achieve our vision.

We're seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at one of our ambulatory medical office sites in Columbia, SC. In this role, you'll operate radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by care providers and perform routine diagnostic procedures.

About the Role:

As an Imaging Technologist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Positioning patients and adjusting equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures
  • Instructing patients regarding procedures
  • Examining radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
  • Developing and processing radiologic film
  • Maintaining x-ray exam rooms and stocking necessary medical and radiological supplies
  • Cleaning and making minor adjustments to radiologic equipment
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures
  • Disseminating x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree: Completion of accredited radiology program
  • SCRQSA license and ARRT certification for Radiology
  • New graduates must obtain and submit Permanent SCRQSA license within 30 days of passing ARRT registry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year physician practice experience
