Job Summary
We are seeking an Insurance Development Specialist to join our team at Morgan Hunter Companies. As an Insurance Development Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients to provide consultative solutions, high-quality service, and prompt responses.

About the Role
The Insurance Development Specialist will seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers, generating lists of prospective clients, and developing a base for long-term sources of clients using referrals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Pursue prospective clients by developing relationships through phone solicitation, appointment scheduling, utilizing mailings, online resources, and present proposals and renewals to groups.
  • Tailor clients' insurance policies and medical management programs by identifying additional insurance coverages that may be applicable to clients' needs.
  • Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, detailed information on the property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to provide consultative solutions, high-quality service, and prompt responses.
  • Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including the completion of appropriate forms.
  • Completes coverage by delivering policy; plan future follow-up visits and evaluate needs.
  • Develop relationships with underwriters to negotiate premiums, terms, and conditions on behalf of the client.
  • Ensure timely premium collection from clients.
  • Work closely with clients to mitigate risk.
  • Updates job knowledge, learns new skills, and product knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; attends meetings, seminars, reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; and participates in professional organizations.
  • Out of town and overnight travel may be required at times.


What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
