Ambulatory Procedure Visit Coder

We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder for our Ambulatory Procedure Visit team in Bellevue, NE. As a Medical Coder with The Arora Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient coding of patient encounters.
About the Job**Job Summary:** We are currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Coder to join our team in Bellevue, NE. This position is responsible for assigning accurate codes to patient encounters based on provider documentation and regulations.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding principles, including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. You will also be knowledgeable about reimbursement systems, industry nomenclature, and regulatory requirements. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign accurate codes to patient encounters based on provider documentation and regulations.
- Monitor and maintain technical currency through continuing education and training opportunities.
- Review encounter and/or record documentation to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, or discrepancies that could cause inaccurate coding.
- Develop and submit written queries to providers to clarify conflicting, ambiguous, or incomplete documentation.
- Provide education and feedback to providers and clinical staff to resolve documentation issues.
- Associate's Degree or higher in Health Information Management, or equivalent experience.
- Four years of medical coding and/or auditing experience in at least two or more medical, surgical, and ancillary specialties within the last 10 years.
- Certification in Professional Services Coding (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (CSS-P).
- National Alliance of Medical Auditing Specialists (NAMAS) or Certified Evaluation and Management Auditor (CEMA).
- Current BLS certification.
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
- 10 days paid time off per year plus 7 sick days per year.
