Job Title: Guest Services Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Guest Services Representative to join our team at Gospel Rescue Mission. As a key member of our Guest Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met, and creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Provide warm and welcoming greetings to all guests, including visitors, volunteers, vendors, staff, donors, community groups, church groups, and public officials.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and build healthy Christ-honoring relationships with guests, while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Standard of Excellence: Maintain the Standard of Excellence and actively participate in the process of upholding this standard among the Guest Services Team.
  • Communication: Respond to and handle emergency needs, de-escalate adverse situations, and provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Reporting: Report safety and security needs or concerns to the Safety & Security Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Director of Shelter Program.
  • Collaboration: Work with Security, IT Security, and Maintenance/Facility Teams to ensure the security and maintenance of the building.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-plus years of professional experience in customer service, administrative, and clerical processes.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based management systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Professional attitude and appearance, ability to establish a positive rapport, and a passion to serve people.
Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Physical Demands: Frequent use of Microsoft Office products and web-based software, requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of emotional intelligence.
Employment Status:
  • Full-time: 40 hours per week, nonexempt, eligible for benefits, and eligible for paid time off.
  • Flexible Schedules: Anticipate flexible schedules and scheduled rotation.
