Education and Outreach Coordinator

The Education and Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in providing education and outreach about sexuality and reproductive health for youth and adults. This position oversees the school-based internship program and participates in and coordinates outreach events, while also providing administrative support for the Education and Training Department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement education programs and training on sexual and reproductive health topics for youth and adults.
- Supervise and coordinate the school-based internship program, ensuring a high-quality experience for interns.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with schools and community organizations to promote reproductive health education.
- Interview and assist in the training and placement of PPM volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide effective support.
- Participate in and coordinate outreach events throughout the state, promoting PPM's services and mission.
- Design and implement culturally sensitive, medically accurate, and age-appropriate lesson plans and programming on a variety of human sexuality topics.
- Conduct outreach activities related to PPM services, engaging with diverse communities and promoting reproductive health awareness.
- Assist with the preparation of education and training program materials, ensuring they are accurate and effective.
- Coordinate department program logistics, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.
- Represent the department by resolving incoming phone and email requests, as well as attending meetings on behalf of the department, as directed by the supervisor.
- Accurately enter, maintain, and report on department data, including calendar entries, expenditures and revenues, contracts and confirmation documents, participant demographics, event attendance, fidelity logging, invoicing, and surveys.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in health education, education, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a community-based setting providing education or outreach, with a focus on sexuality education highly preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience performing responsible general administrative work, with excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
