Job Title: Mechanical Failure Investigator

S-E-A Corp is a leading national forensic engineering firm with over 50 years of experience in the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanical Failure Investigator.

About the Role:

We work closely with national law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers to investigate the root cause of product failures. As a Mechanical Failure Investigator, you will conduct thorough analyses of mechanical equipment failures, develop technical reports, and present findings to clients.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in product development and testing. You must have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least two years of experience in a similar role. E.I.T. certification is strongly preferred, and we encourage you to pursue P.E. licensure once eligible.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of mechanical equipment failures
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to prevent future failures
  • Present findings to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Maintain accurate records of investigations and findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • At least two years of experience in product development or testing
  • E.I.T. certification (strongly preferred)
  • P.E. licensure eligibility (once certified)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
