Clinical Toxicology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Toxicology Specialist to join our team at National Spine & Pain. As an LCMS Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical testing services to medical providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform consistently moderate and somewhat complex clinical quantitative analytical tests, applying technical principles and techniques of analytical chemistry.
- Prepare urine samples for quantitative LCMS analysis, including preparation of calibration standards, quality controls, buffers, and solvent mixtures.
- Maintain and run LCMS instruments, followed by data analysis and reports generation.
- Perform analytical assays and process data analysis in accordance with the laboratory's SOPs.
- Determine, evaluate, and report on test results, understanding the requirements for assigned testing and ensuring optimal patient results and assay controls.
- Recognize problems, initiate troubleshooting steps, and notify the supervisor as needed.
- Comply with all laboratory safety procedures, OSHA, and HIPAA privacy rules.
- Maintain a clean and sterile working environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in laboratory science and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in laboratory science and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Previous work experience in a toxicology laboratory, particularly in pain management/drugs of abuse testing, method development, and validation in a high-complexity setup.
- Knowledge of LCMS or GCMS operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting is required.
- Hands-on experience with various laboratory techniques, including liquid-liquid and/or solid-phase extraction of biological matrices.
- Excellent critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
