Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Services Assistant to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital. This role is responsible for providing exceptional support to the imaging technical staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

About the Job
  • Assist with Patient Care: Collaborate with imaging technologists to transport patients, obtain supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Enhance Efficiency: Work diligently to optimize department workflows, problem-solve routine matters, and contribute to quality and safety targets.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and concise communication with patients, families, and staff members regarding exam delays or status changes.
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Promote a positive work environment, contributing to a dynamic and team-focused work unit that actively supports one another to achieve optimal department results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education, with enrollment in an accredited imaging school preferred.
  • Experience: Previous imaging student experience or working in a hospital or customer service industry preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English necessary to perform job duties; ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and staff members.
Benefits
  • Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Work Attire: Uniforms and scrubs provided.
  • On-Call: Not required.
  • Travel: May require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area.
