Job Summary

The Advanced MRI Technologist will operate a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner to produce high-quality images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. The technologist will provide patient-centered care, working closely with the COO, Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, and MRI supervisor to ensure exceptional service excellence in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.
  2. Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications related to the examination.
  3. Order medical supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  4. Train MRI students, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  5. Thoroughly explain procedures to patients, providing emotional support to help them endure and complete the exam.
  6. Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process, positioning them for optimal scanning, and offering ongoing support throughout the procedure.
  7. Assist with training new MRI technologists, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an A.M.A.-approved Radiology program is mandatory. Hold current certification as an MRI technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Possess a valid ARRT credential and state license, with MRI board certification also required.
  • Minimum two years of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience, with a proven track record of delivering highly developed and advanced technical skills.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, adhering to rigorous cleaning and disinfection protocols after each use.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
