Dental Assistant

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) plays a vital role in supporting the Dentist(s) in providing high-quality oral health services to patients at JWCH Institute's clinic. As a key member of the dental team, the RDA is responsible for preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting with dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions. The RDA also educates patients on oral hygiene practices, schedules appointments, and maintains patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services to patients
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
Assist with dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and schedule appointments
Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Credentialed as a valid licensed Registered Dental Assistant
At least 1 year of experience working as a Registered Dental Assistant, preferably in a community health setting
High School diploma or GED certificate required
Completion of accredited course in dental assisting
X-Ray, infection control, coronal polish, and current CPR and First Aid certificates required
Bilingual:
English/Spanish is required.
