Firmware Verification Specialist

As a Firmware Verification Engineer at Apple, you will be part of an elite team responsible for crafting sophisticated infrastructure and frameworks to validate embedded firmware that delivers unparalleled performance in our products. You will work across fields to transform improved hardware elements into a single, coordinated design, pushing the boundaries of what wireless systems can do and improving the product experience for our customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop frameworks to verify 4G/5G firmware, ensuring seamless integration with systems and firmware teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform validation of new and existing features, leveraging expertise in computer architecture, software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.
- Assist in the development of presilicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and utilize them for firmware design and HW verification, ensuring tight time, latency, and energy budgets.
- Verify key protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms, applying strong analysis and debugging capabilities to root cause issues and work on solutions with firmware development.
- Minimum BS with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Expert-level programming abilities in C, C++, and Python.
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.

- Coursework or exposure in basic digital communications and digital signal processing is highly desired.
- Good knowledge of 5G and 4G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures and configurations is a plus.
- Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus.
