Front Desk Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Kimpton Enso Hotel. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, handling registration and check-out, and ensuring a seamless experience for all hotel guests.
Key Responsibilities- Register and check-out hotel guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Operate the PBX system and handle phone calls in a timely and knowledgeable manner
- Provide mail and message service to guests
- Act as an advocate for the hotel and create personalized experiences for guests
- Develop relationships with guests to ensure repeat business
- Review arrivals and special requests, blocking rooms as needed
- Complete all items on the daily checklist by the end of the shift
- Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs and repeat guests
- Follow established key control policy and ensure proper credit policies are followed
- Submit lost and found articles with a completed report
- Familiarize yourself with all fire and emergency procedures
- Open, secure, and balance the daily shift bank, including counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions
- Verify credit limit reports and monitor room availability throughout the day
- Review the selling status of the hotel using the yield management system
- Attend department meetings once a month
- Communicate with other departments via telephone and/or radio
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Previous experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role preferred
- Knowledge of the immediate area, services, attractions, and events
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple arrivals and departures within a short period of time
- Familiarity with hotel systems and operations, and the ability to enter information accurately
