Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations with a comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound modalities.
  • Select and operate the proper type of equipment for each examination.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic scans and explain procedures to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist in the development of new procedures and techniques as required.
  • Perform general office duties and ensure efficient use of supplies and resources.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Sonography.
  • ARDMS certification in OB/GYN or Abdomen.
  • 3+ years of ultrasound experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).
  • Completion of formal Vascular Technology program.
  • Completion of Br (registered in Breast Ultrasound).
