About the Role

The Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will provide safe and effective nursing care to pediatric patients with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and treatment skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will work closely with clinical medical providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow the nursing process to deliver care: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Synthesize patient assessment data and recognize complex situations prior to communicating with the care team.
  • Document patient care that meets professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safely administer medications and perform in-office procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Triage patient calls using Barton Schmidt pediatric protocols and national telehealth standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
  • A current Pennsylvania nursing license.
  • Pediatric office nurse experience.
  • Phone triage experience.
  • BLS Certification with the American Heart Association.
