**Job Title:** Per Diem Patient Coordinator-Multispecialty-Staten Island, NY-Day-Offsite

**Estimated Salary Range:** $18.54 - $34.00 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital in Staten Island, NY as a Per Diem Patient Coordinator.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating patient demographics, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, communicating with staff, processing paperwork, and collecting co-pays.

  • Greet patients and establish first contact via phone or in person.
  • Update patient demographics and verify insurance as necessary.
  • Schedule appointments and ensure that patients have appropriate insurance for their physician.
  • Communicate with staff regarding patient arrival and availability of medical records.
  • Process HIPAA-related paperwork and other institutional forms as needed.
  • Collect co-pays and provide receipts to patients.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed.

Requirements include high school graduation or equivalent, one year of experience in a physician practice, and minimum one week of on-site training provided by the practice.
