Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Tax Intern to join our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax group. This is a rapidly growing tax consulting practice with significant advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, and communicates findings and opportunities to clients.
  • Work with and assist other senior members of the M&A Tax practice with various technical tax issues.
  • Develop an understanding of the client's business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related accounting and financial reporting topics.
  • Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure.
  • Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
  • Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.
Requirements
  • 90 credit hours completed.
  • Working towards B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Accounting Major.
  • Travel to assigned client locations is required.
  • Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations.
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
