Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Murtech Staffing & Solutions. As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support and maintenance services for our clients' complex network systems.

About the Role

  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting and resolving of technical issues on enterprise-level servers and networking equipment
  • Lead preventive maintenance actions to ensure optimal system performance and drive customer satisfaction through exceptional service excellence
  • Ensure prompt escalation and resolution of critical issues, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver timely solutions
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of enterprise solution products, including Supermicro servers and other leading-edge technologies
  • Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Service Managers, and Product Managers to design and implement tailored service programs that meet client needs
  • Contribute valuable insights and training materials to enhance team performance and product expertise
  • Participate in problem-solving activities at our facility, conducting tests and simulations to identify root causes and develop effective resolutions
  • Travel to client sites to provide hands-on training and support, ensuring seamless technology integration and adoption
  • Train and mentor junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team
  • Balancing autonomy and collaboration, work effectively under the guidance of Technical Account Managers while taking ownership of designated customer bases
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and self-motivation in fast-paced environments, defusing challenging situations with professionalism and poise
  • Effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and daily service expectations
  • IDentify and resolve technical issues by clarifying problems, researching solutions, and implementing effective fixes
  • Maintain accurate records and produce meaningful reports and metrics to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to lift 35-lbs is required for this position

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in field support servicing complex X86 systems and parts is highly desirable
  • Will consider an associate degree in electrical technology, electronics, or equivalent military experience
  • Work experience in large enterprises or certification in Windows and Linux environments is a plus
  • Strong break/fix experience and on-site customer service skills are essential
  • Hands-on experience with servers from leading manufacturers like Supermicro, EMC, DELL, and HP
  • Solid hardware system diagnostics skills, along with a good understanding of BIOS, drivers, and application loads that can cause system issues
  • Excellent technical communication skills to lead investigations with diverse engineering disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and solid time management skills
  • Ability to participate in multiple concurrent projects in a rapidly changing environment, adapting to new and evolving technologies
  • Fully proficient in English (read/write/speak) is required for this role
  • Familiarity with Linux is a plus
