Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Compensation Specialist to join our team at Equiliem. This is a dynamic role that involves managing and processing payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll using Workday, including on-cycle/off-cycle payments, bonuses, and termination pay, ensuring full compliance with state pay laws and IRS regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Manage garnishments and handle multi-state payroll processing.
- Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers, resolving issues efficiently.
- Generate and prepare payroll and time/attendance reports, as needed.
- Support employees and managers with Workday Time and Attendance inquiries, assisting with timesheet errors, submission deadlines, and troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain SOPs for payroll processes, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including reporting and compliance tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or 3+ years of experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in Workday payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite required; ADP experience is a plus.
- Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and familiarity with payroll tax filings and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work with confidential information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with the flexibility to work remotely 3 days a week.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000 per year.
