Job Description

Patient Registration Department: As a key member of our patient registration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting. Your duties will include greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting patient co-pays and insurance payments, processing paperwork, and performing other front office tasks as required.

Clinical Responsibilities: You will communicate directly with patients and families either in person or on the phone to complete the registration process by collecting patient demographics, health information, and verifying insurance eligibility/benefits. You will also utilize computer systems to enter, access, or verify patient data in real-time, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

Data Management: You will gather necessary clinical information and process referrals, pre-certification, pre-determinations, and pre-authorizations according to insurance plan requirements. Additionally, you will verify insurance coverage, benefits, and create price estimates as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience: We require a high school diploma or equivalent (or higher) and at least one year of customer service experience in a hospital, office setting, or similar environment. Intermediate proficiency in Windows PC applications and Microsoft Office is also necessary.

Physical and Work Environment: This role requires standing for long periods, using a workstation on wheels, and phone/headset. The work schedule is 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with occasional flexibility to accommodate business needs.
