We are seeking an experienced Urban Landscapes Manager to join our team at the City of El Paso, TX. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and project management skills.
Salary Range: $49,120.00 - $76,180.00 per year
About the Role
The Urban Landscapes Manager will be responsible for planning and administering open space, trails, and parks programs and projects. This includes analyzing conditions, developing projects, and interacting with public and private agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze open space, trail, and park conditions to develop projects that align with master plan goals and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and review property documents, conduct community research, and determine feasibility of plans.
- Recommend alternate plans, obtain design details, and prepare reports of findings.
- Interact with public and private agencies to elicit support and coordinate project implementation.
- Administer capital funds and grants for open space, trails, and park acquisition and improvements.
- Supervise assigned personnel, including volunteers, and ensure they have the necessary training and resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, public administration, planning, architecture, or urban design.
- Minimum two years of professional administrative experience, including one year of open space, trail, park, and/or natural resource conservation implementation experience.
- Valid USA driver's license (Texas Class C or equivalent from another state).
