Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) plays a vital role in the surgical team, providing direct and indirect patient care, and assisting with surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This position requires a graduate of an approved specific discipline or successful completion of a surgical technologist training program during military service.

A Certification from one of the listed issuers below is required:
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Certified Surgical Technologist
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Tech in Surgery TS-C

Responsibilities
  • Prepares rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assists the surgical team during operative procedures.
  • Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures.
  • Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning. Monitors and restocks supplies.
  • Drapes patients for surgical procedures. Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies. Documents maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs.
Requirements
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000-$60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
