Job Summary\
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals, providing essential support services to clients in a chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation program. As a key member of our team, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our clients, helping them to achieve their goals and recover from addiction.

Key Responsibilities\
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct client care, including medication administration, documentation, and advocacy. You will also play a crucial role in supporting the overall functioning of the program, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services. Your duties will include but not limited to:
  • Maintaining current knowledge of house and client activities
  • Planning work tasks to coincide with programming requirements
  • Setting priorities in monitoring clients, making house rounds, documentation of pertinent information, and completion of other assignments
  • Available, in a friendly respectful dignified manner, to clients for questions and other assistance

Required Skills and Qualifications\
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, successfully complete a background study, and demonstrate a willingness to understand, learn, and carry out regulations with integrity. Additionally, you must be free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding the hire date and sign a statement attesting to that fact. CPR and 1st Aid certification or willingness to participate in courses provided by NBH are also required. A valid MN driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research. Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, which include bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds, is also essential.

Salary and Benefits\
The estimated salary for this role is $17-$19 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
