We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Alden of Waterford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized nursing care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor residents' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning residents to prevent falls and promote independence.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, maintaining accurate records of resident care.
  • Participate in resident care planning conferences, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful culture, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.

Requirements:
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations, including older adults and individuals with varying needs and abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Current CPR certification; willingness to obtain certifications in first aid and other areas as required.
